On the slopes of the Canadian Rockies overlooking Banff, Alberta, the Buffalo Mountain Lodge is an ideal getaway for couples, outdoor adventurers and families near pristine waterfalls, lakes and plenty of biking, hiking and skiing. Guests are less than one kilometer from photo opportunities of the hoodoos, sandstone rock formations caused by resistance to erosion. Outdoor adventurers are near Upper Hot Springs, Sulphur Mountain Gondola, Lake Minnewanka and Bow Falls.
The Buffalo Mountain Lodge's main building complements the natural setting with square timber, post and beam construction, high open ceilings, copper and glass light fixtures, and custom cherry, pine and bent willow furnishings. Guests can enjoy the hotel's spa tub and steam room, fitness equipment, business center, meeting and banquet facilities, in room childcare services, and airport transportation and ski shuttles. Visitors seeking unique dining experiences can enjoy room service or the hotel's main dining room, which serves Rocky Mountain cuisine such as roasted wild game, fresh indigenous berries, and wild mushrooms and mixed grains. The hotel's Cilantro Mountain Caf� features local wild game with rustic Californian flavors and Native American influences.
The two story Buffalo Mountain Lodge features 108 guestrooms with mountain lodge style d�cor, wood burning fieldstone fireplaces, balconies or patios, Internet access, cable television and coffeemakers. Select guestrooms have firewood replenished daily and feature heated slate bathroom floors and old fashioned claw foot bathtubs. Guestrooms overlook the nine acre site on top Tunnel Mountain.

Turn right onto Barlow Trail.
Follow Barlow Trail until you see the signs showing Trans Canada Hwy.
Take the exit, take this exit, drive until you see signs for Banff.
Take the first exit, the Banff/Lake Minnewanka Exit into Banff.
Turn left at the stop sign, this is Banff Avenue.
Take first left onto Tunnel Mountain Drive.
Follow this road to the top, the Lodge is on the right past campgrounds.
