The Splendid Hotel La Torre is a large, whitewashed, low rise hotel in Mondello, set between a beach and fishing village on a rocky promontory overlooking the bay. The 168 guestrooms, over four floors, feature simple, modern decor in neutral shades with redwood furniture. All include balconies, air conditioning, safes, minibars, multi line telephones, satellite television and wireless Internet access. The half board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.
The hotel's La Torre Restaurant is a large, informal dining space set above the stepped terraces of the cliffs, which serves Sicilian, Italian and international cuisine. Guests can relax with a drink and enjoy live music in the piano bar while admiring panoramic views, unwind on the terrace, and browse complimentary newspapers in the lobby. The large swimming pool also offers a sun terrace and swim up bar, while practical amenities include multilingual staff, a 24 hour front desk offering tour and sightseeing advice, wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, and free onsite parking. The nearby Cappo Gallo coastal reserve is open to the public between June and September for bathing and aquatic recreations, including sailing, windsurfing and diving. The hotel is in an excellent position to explore the surrounding area; historic Palermo city centre is nine kilometres away, with the Regional Archaeological Museum, San Domenico Church and the city port all within 11 kilometres. Palermo Punta Raisi/Falcone Borsellino Airport is 30 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.

A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs approximately 40 EUR. Buses run every 45 60 minutes from the airport to Politeama Square in the city centre, where a bus can be caught to Mondello. The nearest train station is 15 kilometres from the hotel, and the nearest metro station five kilometres away.
Driving directions: From the airport take the highway towards Palermo and exit at Mondello. Follow signs for the hotel, which is just beyond the fishing village.
